Badger Institute is now hiring

The Badger Institute is seeking qualified applicants to fill the following positions:

Public Affairs Associate: Duties include serving as the Badger Institute’s most frequent liaison to policy-makers at the state Capitol. The candidate will bring substantial knowledge of the legislative and executive branches, interest in public policy and demonstrated success in messaging. Applicants must have the ability to understand academic research, interact with Badger Institute analysts and experts, and distill research in ways useful to policy-makers and a general, educated audience. Through relationships and intellectual acumen, the successful applicant will also identify policy and story opportunities that will allow the institute to advance its mission of creating free-market opportunity and enhancing prosperity. Curiosity and an ability to write and do basic research are essential. (Salary range: $60K to $75K commensurate with experience.)

Marketing and Media Coordinator: Duties include execution of the institute’s marketing and media strategies and outreach; defining and developing audiences; promoting content and engagement through social media, email marketing and website management; executing online campaigns related to core policy issues; and producing and disseminating short video clips and/or podcasts. Ability to write press releases and other compelling content is essential. (Salary range: $40K to $55K commensurate with experience.)
