Andrew Hanson is an associate professor in the Real Estate Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also an associate fellow of the R Street Institute, a public policy research organization based in Washington, D.C.
Before joining the UIC faculty, he was as an associate professor at Marquette University and an assistant professor at Georgia State University. From 2005-2006, Hanson served as a staff economist for the President’s Council of Economic Advisers in Washington, D.C. His primary fields of interest are public finance and urban economics.
