Likely voters were asked their preferences in the 2008 presidential election as well as factors important to them in choosing a new president.

The following report presents results from the twenty-ninth statewide survey of Wisconsin residents commissioned by the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute, Inc. (WPRI). The survey was conducted from August 3 to August 4, 2008. Likely voters were asked their preferences in the upcoming presidential election as well as the factors that were most important to them in choosing a new president. Residents were asked tracking questions about their family’s economic circumstances and the direction of the nation in addition to the impact of rising gasoline prices on their lives.
